Service builder
This guide is for the organization’s director (admin). The service builder configures how clients reach you.
What a service is
A service is a “door” for the client. A separate topic of request: “Sales”, “Service & Repairs”, “Appointment”. On your storefront or via a QR code the client picks the right door and writes to you — the request lands with the right staff. The rule is simple: one button = one service = one topic.
You set up services yourself. A new organization starts with just “Contact us”, a general request. You add the other doors to fit your needs.
Quick start — a ready template
When creating a service, the Quick start chips at the top offer common services with icons: Sales, Service & Repairs, Appointment, Consultation, Support, Booking, Delivery, Payments & Billing, Warranty & Returns, Contact us.
Tap one and the name and a meaningful icon are filled in. You can edit everything afterwards. The icon is then shown on the service card and on the workplace tile (unless you upload your own logo).
Service fields
- Name / Logo / Icon — how the door looks to the client. The easiest icon comes from Quick start, or upload your own logo.
- Description — a short caption under the name on the storefront.
- Avg. response (min) — shown to the client as “usually responds within N minutes”. Helps manage expectations. Leave empty if you don’t want to promise a time.
- Website URL — a link to your website or this service’s page. The client sees a “Visit Website” button (e.g. a “Sales” service → your online store). Optional. This is not a Tacq address: the link and QR to the Tacq chat itself are generated automatically.
- Service online — whether the door accepts requests right now. Turn it off to hide the service and stop accepting requests.
- Department — who handles this service: its staff see these requests in their queue. You can choose “All departments”.
- Function — the processing rule the request triggers: routing to staff (round-robin, least busy, broadcast), auto-reply, an intake form. If the function you need doesn’t exist yet, tap “Create function”: the editor opens, and after saving you return here with the function pre-selected.
- Unlisted — the service is not shown in the public list of doors on your storefront; it’s reachable only via a direct link or QR code. Handy for private doors: a VIP channel, an insiders’ promo, a beta — you share the link selectively.
Zero-PD
As everywhere in Tacq, the client reaches you without a phone number or email. You reply as the organization; to the client, staff appear under a work alias, not their real name. See the “What is Zero-PD” article.
