A password can’t be recovered
Tacq has no “forgot password”. This follows from anonymity: with no email and no phone number, there’s no channel to confirm the account is yours and reset the password.
What this means in practice:
- write down your Master ID and password, or save them in a password manager;
- set up a recovery phrase: it is the only way back if the password is forgotten or the device is lost. With your Master ID and the phrase you bring the account back and set a new password — see If you lose your phone;
- with no phrase, and with the Master ID or password lost, access to the account and its sessions can’t be recovered — you’d start a new account.
This is the price of being impossible to trace by personal data. Treat your password like the key to a safe.
