No compliance machinery
For this channel you don’t need storage, encryption, access control, audits, consents, Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), a Data Protection Officer (DPO), records of processing, or handling erasure requests. That’s direct savings in money and time.
Sharply lower fine exposure
GDPR: up to €20M or 4% of global turnover. CCPA: penalties per violation plus lawsuits over breaches. With no collected data, there’s almost nothing left to fine.
Why this is the law, not a marketing trick
Personal data is data that lets a particular party link it to a real person. You hold no such link: the Master ID, IP and technical identifiers are processed by Tacq, not by you, and in your hands they don’t reveal anyone. The EU Court of Justice confirmed this “relative” approach directly — the same data can be personal for a party holding the key to someone’s identity and anonymous for a party without it (EDPS v SRB, 2025; earlier, Breyer). You don’t hold that key — and you don’t want to.
An honest boundary (so you sleep well)
Tacq doesn’t repeal the law — it removes its main source of risk: accumulating data. If a contractor you already know works under a pseudonym, or a customer types a delivery address, that’s minimal — it isn’t compiled into a database, doesn’t go into mailing lists, and is erased with the session. Everything that could be regulated for you shrinks to a fraction of an ordinary business.
